Mark
LaRusso was elected from Melbourne's District 2, which
covers the area from south of Post Road to south of Sarno Road, and from
the Indian River Lagoon west to Stewart Road and Apollo Boulevard.

He began service on the City Council in November
of 2004 and was elected to a new term in November of 2006. His
current term extends to November of 2010. He was selected by
Council Members to serve a one-year term as Vice
Mayor in 2006 - 2007.
Council Member LaRusso is an independent business owner. He previously served on the City of
Melbourne's Zoning Board of Adjustment. Community
Service: Council Member LaRusso has long been active in community service. He was the
President of the Sanctuary's Homeowner's Association from 2001 until 2003
and has served as Chairman of the Sanctuary's Architectural Control
Committee and Annexation Oversight
Committee. He is also a former member of the YMCA Executive Board, and is an
Honorary Board Member of Honor America.
