The realignment project is to be completed by a contractor working for the Florida Department of Transportation. The work involves construction of a new portion of NASA Boulevard from Atlantis Road to a point on Wickham Road directly across Ellis Road. The project also includes reconstruction of sections of Ellis Road from a point west of Lake Ibis Drive to Wickham Road and construction of new water main for the City of Melbourne.   The contractor for the one-year, $5.49-million project is Palm Beach Grading, Inc. Work started in March, 2010.
