Alarm Registration

Pursuant to Article III, Chapter 20, City of Melbourne Code of Ordinances as adopted October 22, 1990, all fire and burglar alarms installed in the City of Melbourne, Florida are required to be registered with the Police Department.  Police or Fire response to more than three false alarms at a premise within a one year period will result in a charge of $100 per response.  New alarm systems are exempt from billing for the first six months following initial activation.
 

If you have an alarm system in the City of Melbourne and have not yet registered it with the Melbourne Police Department, please complete the registration process below.

You can choose between two methods for providing an alarm registration application.  

CHOICE 1:


If you would like to use an online form, which allows you to fill in the blanks, please use the following link:    Registration Application

Once you have filled-in the form, you simply click on the 'submit' button at the bottom of the page to send it to the Police Department.
 

CHOICE 2:


Also available is a simple, easy to use report form that may be downloaded and printed out. The form can then be either mailed or faxed to the Melbourne Police Department. If you have "Adobe Reader" software on your computer, click here to access the form

When you have printed out the registration form and completed it, please submit it by fax to 321-409-2309 or mail it to:

The submitted registration form will be reviewed on the next business day following arrival at the Police Department.
